well, i finally got the pics from the birthday bash! well, ok, the birthday dinner. aren't they great. the kids were helping with the cupcakes and enjoying the taste testing. katie wasn't too sure about having cupcakes, but they did ok. pretty tasty!

i am working on a baby blanket that is crocheted. i have one whole row piece done. there are 13 to 15 rows depending on your gauge and since mine is slightly larger than the pattern calls for and it uses 15 rows, mine will probably be the 13. it is alternating white and pink or blue. since i don't know what the baby is going to be, i thought i would do the white and then do enough pink and blue for either. then i would have half another blanket done... there is always someone i know having a baby.

and, so now it is bedtime. tomorrow is an early morning for work. we are having a twin explosion at work. they are so cute laying together in their cribs.... and i can leave them at work! good night.

katie

well, today is katie's 24th birthday, almost to the minute. i can call and tell her happy birthday in 2 more minutes. she is doing great. we have a small birthday planned tonight. she gets her wish for dinner...pizza, homemade, of course. joseph and i are going to make a chocolate cake when he gets home from daycare. or maybe 24 cupcakes with candles in each one...

i have been projectless for the last little bit but am going to start on a baby blanket, crochet, no less. it has strips that are sewn together and popcorns! pictures will follow when i get it going!

oh, and i got my final grade...i am really done with the BSN. finally!

i almost forgot...

last evening, katie, lily, joseph, seth and i went to the topsham fair. it was fun, until the mosquitos came out to play. joseph was so excited. he loved petting the cows, and he petted many of them. he wasn't so sure about the one that kept trying to lick his arm! lily was petrified of them. they looked at her and she screamed. you should have heard her when they started mooing! i did get her to look over at some that were laying down, but she wasn't going near the ones that were standing! there were piglets, piglets that were nurslings (of course, i got a picture of that !) there were goats and sheep and miniture horses. of course, there were rides. joseph, mr brave and daring, wanted to ride on the tilt-a-wheel. luckily, he settled for the merry-go-round. he did much better than lily did when i took her on one. she screamed the whole time. joseph loved it. we were good while we were there and stayed away from the fried dough. so here are some pics...

look what came to visit!

I was awakened this morning by John, coming in and saying he wanted me to see something. well, it was a baby osprey on the handlebars of his dirt bike! and the baby osprey was not going anywhere. he was beautiful and talkative any time we would get close to him.

what a nice morning. and john brought me a blueberry coffee coolata, my new favorite drink. i think i am addicted!

well, my birthday came and went and i am older by another year. john and katie made me breakfast, my favorite kind of pancakes--chocolate chip, date and nut. mmmm. i worked some on my paper, actually, i FINISHED the actual paper. now all i have left is to finish up a few questions on the assessment page that goes with it. i am planning on doing that today. i ran errands and sent in my final assignments for the clinical and i have already gotten my grade for the class. i am going to take the final on thursday and i will be done with the BSN. i, myself, am in shock, so i know others must be. i was beginning to think that i would never, ever finish. to end the day, we had a cook out at our friends, bill and nicole. katie and the grandkids came too. it was very nice. birthday cake was strawberry shortcake--with angel food cake!

for the final picture, i leave you with what joseph and lily (and katie) gave me for my birthday. hello kitty in pink suede boots!!!
